(BA Political Science)

 

Political science is branch of social science dealing basically with the study of state and its origin, evolution and  government, political institutions, political relations, political behavior and in fact all aspect of politics. B.A. Hons degree in Political science is a elaborate knowledge programme. After successful completion of the course the students will able to------

 

  •  Understand various theories of political science and its history, approaches and the processes of law-making and law-enforcement for our betterment and development.
  • Know about the constitution of India and how the constitutional provisions are applied in the administrative system of the country.
  • Acquainted with the knowledge of their rights and duties, various ideals like Justice, Liberty, Equality and democratic values, good citizenship.
  • Understand the political philosophy of  Indian and western political thinkers and their relevance in present context and the basic concepts, foundation, philosophy and historical background of public administration
  • Compete in civil service examinations or any other competitive exams.

  • Students will develop an understanding of the legacy of national movement and the principles that shaped the formation and functioning of the Constituent Assembly of India.

 

  • It will help in developing critical thinking about role of ideas and norms in shaping democracy in India. It will make them understand what is constitution and how has the working of contributed to the consolidation of democracy in India.
